LIVING WELL GAZETI

The End of a Busy Year

It is Christmas Eve today, and we have a sense of unbelief that the year is nearly over already and are full of gratitude for the blessings that God has given us.

We wish you all a blessed day tomorrow, as we celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ and look forward to the plans and blessings of the New Year of 2016.

Leadership Development Course

The Leadership Development Course was very worthwhile, with 17 delegates from countries from Madagascar to Southern Sudan, Burundi to Tanzania represented. Strong friendships were formed across borders that will help to encourage and help co-operation between YWAM nations. It was very good experience for us, and enabled us to teach in a multicultural setting using some of the skills we learnt in our professional careers.

Forum for the Transformation of Africa 4

Delegates at FTA4

The Forum for the Transformation of Africa 4 was well attended by a range of different Christian interest groups. The agricultural sphere group had some interesting discussions about whether ploughs and inorganic fertilisers should be encouraged in undeveloped communities. Meanwhile, the health sphere group were discussing preventative, sustainable methods rather than cures. It was both challenging and informative and new like-minded colleagues have been identified for future co-operative projects.

A High Street Team

The High StreetTeam 2015

A Team of 5 people from High Street visited us in Kenya in November. They were part of the FTA4 and also stayed in the Shimba Hills as well as taking part in the final doctor’s visit to the village of Mafungoni.

They all had their own areas of ministry, with Mary running a sewing project and Claire visiting 3 small clinics in different localities, as well as carrying out door to door evangelism, preaching in village churches and sharing the gospel in different situations. It was wonderful to work with such a willing, hard-working, flexible group.

The ladies give their opinion on the toilet facilities!

It was also great fun!

Neema and Mbogo finish

High School

Neema and Fridah at the end of Neema's 4th school year.

A great sense of achievement was felt by Mbogo and Neema as they finished the end of their High School exams – it would never have been possible without the generosity of their sponsors throughout the four years. They have so many more opportunities open to them now.

Community Development in Togo

People have been so generous giving medical and other equipment.

Community Development in Togo

YWAM Noepe, Togo

We were able to help with teaching Agriculture and Food Security and Environmental Stewardship in the

Community Development School in Togo, on our way home to England for Christmas.

Working with Vivian in Likoni, at Savani Clinic

Community Health Project

We were able to complete the year-long programme of Community Health teaching and treatments in Mafungoni. It has been successful, with a marked reduction in the number of Bilharzia patients needing treatment and fewer children with fungal infections of the scalp.

Thank you for your continued support and prayer for our work for the poor in Africa

Many Blessings for 2016

Martin and Judy
