We live in a rural village in the Shimba Hills where we have been
accepted as part of the community and respected as
farmers and neighbours. Our operating base is a former YWAM mission base on 25 acres of land that had become derelict.
In 2009, we began to clear the bush, repair buildings, steward the land and keep livestock.
We are now able to reach out into the village to empower our neighbours to progress from subsistence farmers to become more self-sufficient, healthier and better educated.
This is a story of Community Development
